Program Unit on the Vulgate and the Latin Bible at upcoming SBL Annual Meeting

The Call for Papers for the Program Unit on the Vulgate and the Latin Bible at upcoming SBL Annual Meeting, is now open. The workshop will take place at the upcoming SBL Annual Meeting in San Diego, USA (23-26 November 2024) and focuses on linguistic, theological, text-critical and traductological research on Latin Bible translations. Scholars from adjacent fields who occasionally deal with (aspects of) the Vulgate and the Latin Bible in their own research or in their work with other versions (Hebrew, Greek etc.) are encouraged to propose papers to foster interdisciplinary research. Theological and Ethical Transformations in Ancient Bible Translations

At the EABS Conference 2024 in Sofia, Bulgaria (15-18 July 2024), a workshop entitled ‹Theological and Ethical Transformations in Ancient Bible Translations› will be organised. The Call for Papers is open until January 20, 2024, and proposals for 20-minute talks (with 10 minutes for questions) are welcome. The focus is on the Septuagint, the Targumim, the Peshitta and the Vulgate.
